Could the discovery of this hidden gospel and the truths it reveals, shake the very foundation of the church?
In a small monastery in Asia, a monk discovers a vessel nearly 2,000 years old containing a manuscript that could be one of the original gospels. The manuscript is sent to the Museum of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. While Turkey finds herself entangled in a war, a monk named Johannes, along with his disciple and a colonel, recover what could be the greatest archaeological discovery of the 21st century: the signed Gospel according to John.
After the war, the manuscript is transferred to the UK, where it is studied by scientists and representatives of the Vatican as well as the Orthodox and Protestant Churches. The results are presented in church and its implications reach across the globe.
Johannes, whose age has also been mystery, is forced to exhibit amazing abilities and reveals his true nature which is closely linked to a mystery written in the ancient sacred manuscripts.
