Cambios profundos: Cuando el evangelio transforma los deseos del corazón
En palabras del autor: Cambiamos cuando volvemos a DISFRUTAR del amor de Dios. No cuando creemos que Dios nos ama, sino cuando nuestros ojos son abiertos y encontramos un profundo placer en ese amor (Efesios 1:18ss). Este nuevo “degustar” del amor de Dios es lo que la Biblia llama: “volver al primer amor”. Al ser confrontados con la realidad de lo que amamos internamente comenzamos a experimentar una sentida convicción de pecado o, como dice Jesús en Mateo 5:5, vemos nuevamente la realidad de nuestra “pobreza espiritual”. When confronted with the reality of what we love internally, we begin to experience a heartfelt conviction of sin, or, as Jesus says in Matthew 5: 5--we again see the reality of our spiritual poverty. The Holy Spirit opens our eyes to remind us that the gospel –the forgiveness and power of Christ– is our greatest need tochange."
